Take-off from Tromsø
It’s a cliché, but all good things do come to an end, even fun Euromeets! Luckily my flight today wasn’t an early one so I was able to enjoy breakfast with my VT friends before finishing packing and checking out of the hotel.
I’d arranged to travel to the airport with Malena who was on the same flight to Oslo, from where we would go our separate ways. She suggested we took the regular bus rather than the airport express as we had plenty of time. It proved a good choice, much cheaper and only slightly slower. Although we did almost get off a stop too soon and had to be called back by the helpful driver!
Tromsø Airport is quite small, and we were quickly through the security process. We had a drink in one of the cafés and then settled down in the gate area to wait and chat. We were joined by some of the others with later flights than ours, who like us had allowed plenty of slack.

Our flight left on time. It was pouring with rain (the worst weather we’d had during our stay by a long way). So there were no great views to be had but I amused myself on take-off with some abstract-style shots of the rain on the windows!

As we flew south summer made a reappearance and we landed in Oslo to blue skies. Malena and I had been seated separately but there was time for a quick goodbye before I had to go in search of my onward flight to London.

That second flight too went smoothly, and we flew in over Windsor with some great views of the castle below.
Flying over Windsor Castle
Unlike on my departure day, the Piccadilly line was running a normal service, so I was soon home, with loads of photos to sort through and memories of a wonderful time with my friends!

Sounds like a very fun trip. I like the aerial shot of Windsor Castle.
