Quo Vadis
Our flight home was in the early afternoon so we had time for a leisurely breakfast in Quo Vadis, the nearby bar where we’d enjoyed yesterday’s great football match. Then we finished packing and walked to the airport bus stop on the far side of Skanderbeg Square. It was about a twenty minute walk but with wheelie bags not a problem. Plus, it gave us a chance for a last look at a few of the sights of Tirana.

The bus was already at the stop when we got there, and already quite full. It left on time at 10.00 but because of traffic took about 40 minutes to reach the airport rather than the advertised 30. That still left us loads of time for check-in, security and an early lunch in one of the coffee shops.
Although we were flying British Airways, our plane was leased from Finnair. I took a few photos as we boarded, slightly surprised to see more distant mountains still with a little snow.

The flight was uneventful and fairly soon we were back at Heathrow and soon after that back home. We’d only been away four nights but we’d packed so much in that it felt a little longer!
